Easy Father’s Day Craft
I always feel that dads and other important males in our students lives get a little bit left out of the parenting celebration. In my school district school is out roughly two weeks before Father's Day, and it ended up being forgotten in the hustle and bustle of field day and parties for many years. But then I realized that this craft was the perfect activity for the last days of school when you are scratching your head to find engaging assignments for your students.

Celebration Time!
It’s a big celebration here as today marks one year since I first started blogging. It’s been quite the journey and as it nearly coincides with the end of the school year for Mr. B, I decided to share the love with these free bubble labels! We buy the six pack of bubble wands every year from Walmart or Amazon. It ends up at around $20 for the class and it is something that the kids can use on the last recess before summer. The Countdown is on!
Can you believe it? This has been one of the speediest school years I can remember. I don’t know if it is the amount of snow, or the prolonged cooler weather, but it seems like I opened my eyes one day and we were in May. In kindergarten I LOVED this time of year. It truly is a time when you can step back and see how the students have grown and pat yourself on the back – that is YOUR added value! But there is also a downside to May. . . drumroll. . . TESTING. Argh. Kinders in my district are tested in DIBELS and TRCs and also…
