For Preschool and kindergarten students, the most important word in the world is their name!
My students enjoyed tracing their names in sand, colored salt (with warnings about not to put it in their mouths!) and paint filled zip lock bags that were secured with electrical tape.

Rolling play-doh and making snakes to fit into our name outlines is a great fine motor activity.

We also used name outlines with paint and q-tips or bingo daubers.

And with tweezers for picking up tiny pieces of paper and gluing them into the outlines as a mosaic. Talk about working those muscles!

We also had lots of practice with letter tiles and magnetic letters matching.

We used editable name worksheets that were personalized for each student, where they had to find their name and color. You can see Kate working on hers here!

We learned the letters in our name and their names. You know students enjoyed this personalized coconut tree coloring sheet!

We continued to develop our fine motor skills by cutting out letters and building our names.

All the above activities are available here from my TpT store. I also have this FREEBIE so that you can try out some personalized name worksheets for your own students.

Easy to use – simply type in names and worksheets are automagically generated! I hope your students will love seeing their name in print as much as mine did!
